I was driving the BMW back to work on my lunch break when a kid riding his scooter on the sidewalk stops, and gives me a thumbs up, that made my day. As I drove by I gave him a throttle BRAP! Which apparently made his day, as I look in my rearview mirror he’s waving both arms over his head with two thumbs up and a big smile on his face.

Absolutely love that. A few months after I got my current car I was parked at the grocery store and started it as a mother and her 5ish yo son with soda bottle glasses were walking past on the other side of the lane. The kid stopped and just started staring. I slowly backed out so I was pointing toward him - and it was clear he wasn’t looking at me, rather right at the intercooler scoop. I gave him a couple quick revs, mom wasn’t super happy but the her kid smiles from ear to ear, “look, mom! mom! look! mom!”

The supervisor at the pool loves my K900. I pulled up one evening, and he started giving his friend with him the guided tour of my car. I was embarrassed but also proud.
